About me
Hi I'm Rob, I am a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) and I am passionate about road safety.
I became a driving instructor because I wanted a job with real satisfaction and there is nothing better than seeing someone pass their test first time. I was also always being told by friends and work colleagues that I was a calm and relaxed type of person and that I would make a great Driving Instructor. I have previously worked in A shop/ post-office/ petrol station, Milkman, and Perkins engines, so I’ve had a varied selection of jobs, and used to meeting people, and new challenges.
I was fortunate to be trained by LDC in the latest adult coaching and training techniques so you can be assured the training I give will be of the highest standard. I started as an instructor in July 2003, and became fully qualified in April 2004.
I chose to work with LDC because everybody is different and the LD System allows for flexibility in lessons so that you learn to drive safely at a rate that suits you. I aim to make every lesson enjoyable and as productive as possible. The LD System just helps me to do this more effectively.
I have lived in Shrewsbury all my life, so I have a good knowledge of the area, and the people of Shrewsbury.
My interests include going to watch my favourite football team once a month, Motorsports, VWs and car shows, playing on my PS3, & Camping.
I am married and have 2 lovely young daughters, and enjoy spending time with them as much as I can.
I am a friendly person, and can get on well with people, aswell as putting them at ease, while teaching them, and helping them feel relaxed. Using the LDC system, i can explain easily what you will be learning throughout the lesson, and at the end of the lesson a full debrief and progress assessment will be filled in, with pupils feedback too.
Aswell as weekly lessons, i also specialise in Intensive and Semi-intensive courses, theory training, and once you’ve passed there is Pass Plus, Motorway lessons, and refresher lessons.
